Housing: Henderson strongly advocates improving programs for first-time home buyers, as well as increasing the inventory of affordable rental housing. He supports greater distribution of information regarding residential opportunities for limited-income and workforce housing.

Neighborhood Livability: Henderson is committed to protecting and preserving the Arroyo as a major natural environmental resource for District #1residents and the community at large. Raphael will work hard, and utilize whatever resources are necessary in order to maintain safety in our neighborhoods. He strongly supports academic and career-technical programs that reduce crime and lead to economic self-sufficiency.

Education: Henderson will pursue a collaborative approach to educating our children. This includes increased participation of parents, students, and businesses and educational resources, including cultural, medical, science, technical and other disciplines. Henderson has a long record of service to the community. He has received the KJLH and Disney Proven Achiever Award for his work in mentoring disadvantaged young people.

Economic Prosperity: Henderson has a proven track record of creating corporate/community-based organization partnerships, which enhance economic opportunities.
